a giveaway!

To celebrate 103 hearts in my etsy shop, I am having a giveaway. A triple giveaway, to be precise.

I have set aside three colorways of yarn from my etsy shop. To see them you will have to go to the etsy shop. (Since I am giving away three skeins of yarn, I had to say the words "giveaway" and "etsy shop" three times, of course.)

The three colorways are:

pool side

retro

sweet plum ( in the suri merino laceweight).

Go check out the shop, and report back here in the comments. You have until Friday, July 2nd, midnight, to leave me a comment. Any comment at all will do, but I prefer the nice ones. :) Tell your friends, too!

On Saturday morning, July 3rd,  before Germany plays their next World Cup game at 10 am EST, I will randomly select three winners and announce them here.

And to keep the theme of threes going, there's two more pieces of good news to report:

The shop is featured in the Local Lovelies section on etsy.

AND: Bluepeninsula started a Fans of Periwinkle Sheep group on Ravelry!!  Thank you so much, Bonnie.

  1. OMG -- LOVE those colors. I made one of those curated "Treasury" lists on etsy yesterday and called it Obsession #1. Your Poolside yarn was the first beautiful thing I added! The retro is fab too love that bright turquoise with the greens. If Scrumdiddilyumptious wasn't trade-marked, I think you should use that name for your sweet plum yarn. Fantastic color. I bet the yarn feels like butter!

    Hope you are doing well!

  2. I hate you! You know why? Because ALL of your colors are gorgeous. I would have the hardest time choosing just one. (Sounds like a potato chip commercial!) Karin, you are an artist and a poet!

  3. Yay for you in the Local Lovelies!!

I always enjoy visiting your shop - and I love the Sweet Plum colorway :)

  4. Karin - as always, your colours are fabulous! I'm always a fan of semi-solids, and your Hydrangea, Juniper & Sweet Plum are exceptionally beautiful. The "pop" of bright blue in Retro is so intriguing, I'm dying to see what it looks like knit up. And, of course, Poolside is gorgeous - you can't go wrong with black and turquoise!
    C'est magnifique! - Jillian

    P.S. Go Germany!!

  13. You know how I feel about the Retro - but Pool Side is pretty cool too. And I plan to cast on once I finish something I'm making for a friend's wedding.

  14. They are SO tempting!!! I really like the sweet plum. And the retro, it seems like it will make something really neat. And then there's the pool side, which I suspect I'd love best of all knitted up.... AHHHH!!

  15. I love the new sweet plum in the Suri lace! So beautiful! (Purple's my fave color, so I'm biased). All of your new yarn combos have been gorgeous lately and if I had the money I would buy them all up!

  18. You do dye some lovely coloways. I think my most favorite is Hydrangea but Retro comes in a close second.

  20. I'm just discovering your shop, but I can see why you've been so successful! The Ember colorway is my favorite, and I love the Poolside too.

  21. LOve, love, love retro!!!! I have already knit with your yarn (fresh lavender, I believe) and it is wonderful! Jumping over to Ravelry now to join the group. Bonnie was my partner in the Spring Swap, she's awesome!

OOO...add me to the pool of possible winners! How can I resist when there is a shot at winning the lace yarn. I'm eager to try that and trying hard to resist adding to the stash pile, but the spirit is weak. It's just so tempting.
Does that MERIBOO sock yarn - Juniper have that great bright yellow green of the watercolor sock yarn thyme colorway????? It looks so close.

  23. I've been drooling over the retro since it was introduced. Much to your dismay, I've been forcing myself to resist throwing all other things aside and finding a sweater pattern to show it off! I keep saying that I should finish the two I'm working on now first! The sweet plum and poolside look lovely as well... there are some beautiful shawl patterns out there that would look fantastic in that sweet plum.

And to anyone out there looking at the pics and wondering - the colors ARE that wonderful in real life and the sock yarn is a dream of smooshy softness.

  24. Karin you know I love the Raspberry Truffle - the Twilight scarf is one of my vacation projects for next week. But the Hydrangea is a close second - the sheen to this yarn is amazing. Great dye job again!

  25. I love the colors. If I had to put them in order, I love the Plum, the Pool, then the Retro.

Pool and Retro were tough to order because, while I loved the varying shades of tealish blue in Retro, I loved how the Pool just went dark.

I found your blog by chance (you know the whole, I'm at a friends, who linked a friend who liked a link who had a mention that had a picture with your name...lol) and it's happy chance! You dye beautiful yarn!!!

  26. Oh...and I sew (!!!) want to steal your Sunflower color too!!!

  27. I really love your yarns. I looked at them all, and my favorite is poolside, it's breathtaking and I will remember your shop next time I need yarn. Thank you so much.

  28. You know I love your work. I am contemplating a few skeins I already own, which want to be knit together in one piece.

Turquoise!!!!! My fave color. And if you ask me, Purple is the perfect "neutral" to go with all other wonderful colors. At least, all the others in my closet...

    Hugs, LynnH

  30. YUMMY!!! I LOVE the sweet plum (partly because it's alpaca, partly because it's lace and partly because it's pretty!) and the Poolside makes me want to have a pool to be poolside at....ummmmm..... Thanks for sharing!

  31. YUMMY!!! Sweet plum because it's alpaca, it's lace and it's pretty. But Poolside makes me want to be there.....oh, I can't decide - they're all lovely!

  32. I love a lot of these yarns, but the Sunflower and Poolside stand out. I really like colorways that have mostly one color family then an occasional bit of a really contrasting color. I can see why your shop is so successful, and I'll be back often to check it out. Congratulations!

  33. Oh Karin - Saw your note on KnitList. The Poolside color is stupendous but, IMNHO, the Sunflower is to die for ! Gorgeous. You have a very nice Etsy Shop and I like the way you've displayed your yarn. What a GREAT idea for a giveaway ! Hip, Hip, Hooray for you. Best wishes, Nancy

  34. I recently bought your yarn for the first time at a lys. I'm knitting the Milkweed shawl pattern and i love how the yarn knits up. I also bought a skein from your Etsy shop for a swap partner and i'm sure she will love it.

  35. Sweetplum is exactly the most perfect shade of reddish purple--and we made plum jam yesterday, so it really put a smile on my face!
