One of my LYSs and a shop that carries my yarns,Trumpet Hill, had a couple of very special guests this past Friday:
I decided to surprise them both with a sampler pack of my yarns.
They were like little kids on Chirstmas Day!
I had selected specific colors for cookie and Anne that I thought they might like. I think they were pretty happy. :)
No pressure to design anything with them, just go play!
Here's one of many knitters who had made cookie's famous monkey socks.
When I joined the big knitting circle, I caught Robena, the shop's owner, dancing a little jig in the middle.
Noshes, yummy yarn, famous designers, lovely company, what could be better?
Stay tuned!
Tease!!!!! =) I hope you had a wonderful time!!
ReplyDeleteThey look so happy with their special gifts! What a nice thing you did :)
ReplyDeleteWow, you are so lucky to get to meet 2 knitting superstars! And you are always so generous. The samplers look so colorful.
ReplyDeleteThank you for stopping by my blog. I weave with a Kromski Harp (a rigid heddle loom). You can read about my first project here, http://oiyi.blogspot.com/2010/06/my-first-rigid-heddle-weaving-project.html . I can go on and on about weaving and my loom. If you want more info, I will gladly email you.
How very exciting and fun!
ReplyDeleteI recognize that polka dot tissue paper - I got the very same, at Target!
How awesome! I knit a cookie a. pattern (Hedera) with some of the watercolors sock yarn, and they're my favorites!
ReplyDeleteTHIS IS TOO FUNNY!!! I just blog hopped here from another blog..never been here before and I see you are at a knit event at the yarn shop that we visited a year ago when our girl's basketball team won states last year!! The first picture I thought...hmm that looks familiar, or maybe it's just another great yarn shop...then I saw the name!!
ReplyDeleteThanks for taking me back for another visit. We were close to closing time and they were so nice and showed the little girls how they wind the yarn into cakes from hanks and I wanted to go back someday...you don't get that everywhere..
so exciting!!!!!!
